Stag international has signed with japan based sports footwear brand mizuno

A leading Sports distribution company - Stag International has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Japan based Sports footwear and apparel brand Mizuno.

 

“ We are very excited to distribute Mizuno brand in India.  Mizuno is a global leader in Sports footwear and Apparel and with our experience of working with International brands and knowledge of the Indian distribution and retail environment – we aspire to make Mizuno the number 1 Sports brand in India.” Stag International Chairman Mr. Rakesh Kohli said in a press release.

“We are confident that Mizuno will be one of the largest sports brands across India. The timing could not be better as Sports in India is growing at a rapid pace and we look forward to much mutual success,” he added.

Mr. Kiyoshi Tatani,  President Mizuno Singapore Limited, said “ There is no better partner who understands both retail and distribution as Stag. The current brands that they distribute are all global leaders and therefore Mizuno is a perfect fit- being a global brand.”

"Their planned roll out for Mizuno freestanding exclusive stores as well as their distribution business establishes the right model for success,” he said.

The agreement contains wide range of categories like Running, Soccer, Indoor sports etc.

The agreement will see Mizuno entering India with its Spring Summer 2016 collection. The collection will be launched in October 2015 with a number of planned marketing events at the time of launch. Mizuno will be present in India through exclusive stores, through Multibrand outlets, an extensive distribution and on the online sites.
